New and Improved Admin Text Editors

I am pleased to announce new and improved text editors in the WideRange Admin panel! A few things have changed with the new text editors, so please watch this screencast video to familiarize yourself with the new editors:

New Text Editor Features

• Clean Pasting: The new editors handle pasting text from other sources much more cleanly than before, without embedding unwanted formatting.
• Content Blocks: The content in the text editors is now organized by blocks, which correspond to the underlying HTML elements, such as individual paragraphs, headings, images, or any other content.
• Content Block Menus: Each content block has a little tab at its top left, where you can access tools to modify that block, including viewing or editing the HTML source code for just that block.
• Single Image Insertion Panel: Instead of two separate toolbar buttons for uploading or inserting images, these are now combined together in one simple Image panel.
• Inserted Images now get Titles and Print Links: When you insert a gallery image into the text, it will now automatically include its title and print link along with its caption (when applicable).
• Improved Color Palette: If you want to embed coloring for certain words or paragraphs, the color tool has been improved with an expanded palette of beautiful colors, and you can even choose a background highlight color if you really want certain text to stand out.
• Undo/Redo Buttons: At the upper right corner of the editor toolbar are now Undo/Redo buttons which make it easy to quickly undo mistakes.
• Column Layouts: Using the new Layouts feature (accessed from the Add [+] button at the top left), you can now embed text columns into the page in a variety of preset layouts. You can also insert images into each column if desired.
• Easy Anchors: The block menus now include an Anchor tool that enables you to easily add an anchor id to any content block. Then, when you add or modify a link elsewhere on the page, you'll see that anchor link option. This makes it very easy to link to various parts of the same page, without needing to edit any code.
